Night temp improves in Kashmir | KNO

Srinagar, Nov 18 (KNO): While the night temperature improved across the valley, the weatherman here has predicted dry weather conditions till December 05. “Nothing significant is expected in Jammu and Kashmir till December 5th,” Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, Director Meteorological Department (MeT), told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). Meanwhile, the valley experienced an improvement in the night temperature with the mercury in Gulmarg, a famous ski resort, settling above freezing point at 2.0 degrees Celsius. In Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the minimum temperature settled at minus 1.8 degrees Celsius, while Qazigund, a gateway of Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 1.3 degrees Celsius. In north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, the mercury settled at minus 1.8 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam, a famous tourist destination, recorded a low of minus 2.8 degrees Celsius. Kokernag recorded a night temperature of 0.6 degrees—(KNO)
